Why Does the Spring Clutch Kept Breaking? My car only has 14000 and it broke the 4th time. How can i make sure the dealer will replace / fix the problem so i wont have the problem in the future? Besides, it's ridculous to keep bringing the car back for service! Its a Waste of time!
Re: Why Does the Spring Clutch Kept Breaking? Sorry to tell you this but if you actually want the spring in there, you will have to learn to live with the constant breaking. My car had 10,000 miles and I was on my third. The last time it broke, I just said "forget this" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> and removed the entire spring. It requires a little more effert to push the clutch without the spring <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> , but I find that I can actually get a better feeling out of the system this way <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . I have had it out for the past 4,500 miles and am just going to leave it out (just need to build my leg muscles...... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ).

Re: Why Does the Spring Clutch Kept Breaking? I had the same problem. At 12000 miles first then 16500 then again at 20500. Each time the dealer replaced it. When it was in for the 16500 miles they somehow banged up the brake light switch. That night I relized it was broke when my brake lights wouldn't go out. They fixed that also.
