Default QA1s....

Hey, i'm thinking of upgrading my stock DeCarbon shocks to something else. Its my daily driver and I drag race it for fun every now and then. How are these shocks for handing? I like to screw around in the twisties a bit. I like the way the car handles now, i'm not looking for necessarily an "upgrade" for handling (but would be nice if they were), but just some adjustabilty for the street and track. Opinions??

QA1/Hals are made with a drag race orientation. You will give a little in the handling dept but for straight line performance on a budget(relatively speaking) they're great. I wish I could give you my experience but my car is broke but from what I've read the QA1's get very harsh quickly once you try to stiffen them up.

If your looking for a shock that is the best of both worlds (drag racing and road racing) HAL's are the only ones that fit the bill, IMHO.

I got the entire kit. It rocks. Being able to adjust the shocks is awesome. I use my car as a daily driver and for the track, and also love taking the corners. For long road trips it takes all of 5mins to adjust all the shocks to a stock like ride. I wouldn't trade them for nothing. Also being able to adjust the ride height in the front is great as well. You will not go wrong by getting these.

I used to think that Hal's were only for drag racing; but I have a friend that road races his Firehawk with Hals quite successfully.
