does anyone have any knowledge of what the long term effects of cutting springs to lower your car is. will they sag, bounce or mess up the shocks. i had my car lowered a while back 2 inches with after market springs i dont know if they were to extreme but some how developed a gas leak i beleive a gas line got pinched by the axle so i had to raise it back up and sold the springs now i want to go low again how low is to loow

Some people cut a little off the back stock springs for better traction at the track. I suppose if you wanted to lowered the car an inch or so, this could be done on front and back. Where and how to cut it I don't know--ask around and find out. I don't think you will have long term effects--I am guessing on this one. I prefer my car to be stock height because I always find something in road to bottom out every now and then--and I have expensive stuff under the car. Anyway good luck.
