One really idiotic SFC question...
When you say your car has to be "loaded" to weld the SFC's on how is this done? Do you mean the car has to be sitting on the ground not jacked up? I just don't get how they can weld them on without the car being jacked up you know... explain this to me if you would.
Thanks

Here goes !
Have U ever seen an alignment rack at a tire shop?
U know the kind where the drive the car onto the lift ?
Well that's how they do it, they drive the car onto the ramps onto the lift and then lift the car to walk under height with car fully loaded, gassed up and t-tops removed ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
<strong>No t-tops here!
Do exhaust shops have these racks? </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The one where I got my sfc welded had one.
There was a great debate a while back, either here or on that "other" site concerning welding SFCs with the suspension loaded or unloaded.
When I installed them, I had the suspension loaded. I tied the cars together as it sits on the street, not as it hangs on a lift.
To do this, I jacked the car up and cribbed cross tie blocks under the tires and shimmed with wooden 2x10 and 1x10 pieces to level the car.
<strong> and t-tops removed ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Never heard of that before.
