Default Drag Slicks

Would some 15" 5 spokes with 27x10" hoosier slicks be ok with stock clutch and rearend or will it hurt those at the track over time? Thanks!

thoose two parts are going to take the worst beating of their life from slicks!!!! LUCKILY the clutch will go first and thats cheaper to change but i SERIOUSLY advise you to change out your clutch to something of the likes of a Ram,Cartek,Star stage IV,Mcleod...just something with more bite if you plan on running slicks(i have a ram 402/6130 combo and love it) once you do that all the strain will then be on the stock crappy 10 bolt which will break eventually....so in that aspect i would get something the likes of a 12 bolt or 9"....whenever i get enough money saved up i'll be getting a Moser 12 bolt

Ugh, is there anyway to get a good takeoff at the track without buying a new rearend and clutch?

You've been tons of help, just one more question, is there a rearend that is strong enough out there that doesnt cost big bucks? Unfortunatly money is an issue for me, thanks though!

unfortunatly not if you throw money into yer 10 bolt its just going to be a waste of money IMO.....i have found out that this is a VERY expensive hobby lol and its not a very good one for a 20 year old college student! but hey its still fun! i promise you if you can get the cash together for a 12 bolt or 9" you wont regret it!
