Default DR's VS. E/T Streets

Hey guys,
I am tired of going nowhere (except closer to the wall!) at the track on Eagle GSC's....Time to get serious! How much better are the E/T streets than say Nitto's? They are about the same price so please give me some feed back. Thanks! By the way, the car is a 2000 Z A4 with 3.73's Macs w/ORY, Hot Cam and Shift kit. Suspension includes lowered front, LCA w/ brackets and PHR. Best time prior to cam/headers=13.43 @ 105mph. After cam/headers =13.6 @112+mph??? I'm guessing I have a serious traction problem. What should some good tires put me in? Mid 12's? Thanks...PS Iknow I need a converter BAD!

I'm just getting ready to try out the ET Streets this weekend. Then I would really know the difference. But since no one has replied-here goes. I would get the ETs, I've had 275 BFG DRs and they were marginally better than the stock Firehawks. Cut a best of 1.90 with both but the DRs were consistantly better by a smidge. I have a M6 and get my best 60fts by slipping the clutch. This is also on the stock rear with 3.42s. You have a auto so you don't have to worry as much about the rear breaking. I'd say don't bother with the DRs unless you do alot of street racing. JMO

its common sense ET streets will hook better than DR's since they are a cheater slick.

But do you want to run them?? They suck in rain, they flex like crap on top end, feel like car is gonna twsist around on ya.

Nittos: 10-15k miles, drive great in rain, hook awesome on a well prepped track

I cut like 1.89's on dunlops and with nittos I cut a 1.58 @ 20psi with stock internals and vig3600. On average they hold 1.58-1.64's for me and run 11.9-12.1's bolt on only

I just installed a cam and i havent gotten more than one pass to test them out recently..

i only tried one luanch and i always go easy on the first pass to test car out. Cut a crappy 1.70 idling off line and only went 11.90 @ 114

i know I can get back in the low 1.6's and upper 1.5's again on 245/16's and hopefully hit some 11.5-6's cam only

bascially nittos hook. I usually run right with the et street guys off the line. Heck I dont see many bolt on cars with et streets cutting 1.5's.. nittos do
