For a street driven car, I'd stay with a 650-700 inch pound front spring and a 200-250 inch pound rear spring. Question....why did you want to go with ground control for a street driven car? They make great products (I had them on my 1989 Formula with 1000 in lb front springs and 225 in lb rears), but they really should be set up on a set of chassis scales to balance corner weights (that is one of their main benefits) in order to see maximum gains from their parts. I was going to put them on my 2002 Z-28 (M-6) for autocross and track days but decided to try a set of H&R stage 2 springs (I calculated them to be 647 in lbs front and 257 in lbs rear) and a set of Koni double adjustable shocks on all corners (it seems to be an incredibly capable setup,so far). I'm going to run this set up for a while and as the car becomes less street car and more track toy, I'll probably consider the ground controls myself (again). There are a lot of great springs that require less maintenance and set up than ground controls (and cost about 1/2 aas much as the ground control set up) that do an outstanding job. There is nothing wrong with the ground control spring kit (really great stuff!!!!), it just seems like "over kill" on the street (I'm not sure how much difference you'll see for the extra money spent). But, if you have the cash....you won't be disappointed with ground controls toys.....Happy corner carving!!!!

P.S. I forgot you said you already had eibach springs. The "wishy washy" feeling is probably %98 caused by your stock shocks. They are really not capable of damping (properly damping) the Eibach springs. You will see a huge improvement by dumping the factory shocks for the bilstiens (or revalved bilstiens from sam strano) or Koni's etc. Good luck.

Hell yeah!! Bilstein's for sure!!!

I've been testing the car since stock in empty parking lots. Just recently installed bilsteins at all 4 corners. Man, it's made a differnece I could feel. I look forward to autocross my baby!

Don't get me wrong, I love the 1/4 mile too!!

Trackbird hit the nail on the head. Your sloppy feeling is all the stock shocks' fault. Shocks are spring dampers, and they aren't very good for taller, softer stock springs. They are downright out of their league with lowering springs. Further the Pro-kits aren't hugely stiff (not a bad think IMHO, we use lots of them very successfully), it'll only get worse by adding more spring rate with weak shocks.

Which brings me to the next point: Bilstein HD's are great shocks. But they are not particularly well suited to anything much more than stock spring rates. Even with stock springs, I prefer a shock with more rebound control (that's what gives the car the quick response and gets rid of the floaties). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> We use a lot of HD's, and they are fine for someone looking for a really good upgrade for stock springs, or even someone who just drives a lowered car but really doesn't hammer it. Anything much more than those two situation warrants looking into shocks with more rebound control (Koni or Revalves, etc.).

As for the coil-overs, rates et-al:

Unless you have some specific need to run coil-overs, I wouldn't bother. Those needs include the ability to change spring rates quickly for different tracks, corner weight the car, or say run a stiffer spring without lowering the car. Generally you are as well served (in ways better) with a quality set of lowering springs. As far as I'm concerned you have them already in the Pro-kits. Add some good shocks and watch the car car get transformed.

Sam, What do you think about G2's coil-over setup?

I'm sure it's a very nice setup. It's not what I choose to run for a variety of reasons, not the least of which are spring rates and shock valving (particularly the rear)....

I figure if I can get proper damping, adjustable height, spring rate choice, adjustable shocks (if you use Koni's) wihtout spending a forture, then why not?
