Default What do I need?

Ok, I took out my '02 SS out to the track last week for the first time and the fastest 1/4 mile was a pathetic 13.98 ! I was running on street tires though. My suspension is pretty much stock, I've only added a panhard bar and 1 inch lowering springs. My questions are :

1. Slicks or drag radials?
2. What do I need to do to the suspension so I don't f*** anything up when I take it to the track next time?

Thanks for any feedback.

A4 or M6? Any power mods?

A4 you will be able to run ET streets in relative safety but M6 with bias ply will cause the clutch to go then the rear so you'd give up some ET for relibility with drag radials. Best bet would be to get another set of rims for just the track. It cost more up front but will be worth it in the long run

If I where you I would buy a set of drag rims and tires. Buying Street tires get to be a pain. A send your car on diet. Lose lots of weight. You should not Fu*k up anything. Well soon your brakes will warp everyone I know has had that problem. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

The only other mod I have are LT headers. I have an M6 by the way. I'm leaning toward nitto 555R drag radials. Thanks for the replies so far, appreciate any more feedback.
