Brake "floating"?
Sence I put in RotoTech cross drilled and slotted rottors up frunt, if I get on my brakes hard from speeds, it feels like the frunt brakes are kind of "floating". Tonight I went out and tested around with it, I jammed on them and they did the "float" thing, then if I get off them and then back on them pretty quick they grab like they should, but pulsate. The pulsating isn't warped rottor type pulsating.
Anyone have any ideas about this?
I do know that the 'RotoTech' rotors are stock GM rotors that were drilled (and slotted, I guess...I didn't know that they slotted, too). Any problem you hear with the GM rotors, you'll probably have with the RotoTechs.
Now, on to the 'float' issue. Does it feel like a 'surge' in the car? If the warped rotors cause side to side shimmy, what I'm talking about would be sorta like front to rear...if that is the case, you'll need to take the rotors off and have them turned. Sounds like they're glazed. Did you go through a break in procedure on them when you put them on?
Not a lot of info to go on, but sounds like glazed rotors to me.
