Default Question on tires.

I need to replace my tires, I was thinking of going with Nitto 555 on front with their DRs on back. BUT I really need a tire that will last longer than 10K miles and do well when its wet (daily driver here). I know street tires have no prayer of hooking from a dead stop (converter car, ST3500) but maybe something that will hook from a 20-30 mph punch.

I've looked at these so far:

Firestone Firehawks SZ50 EP 275/40ZR17 - $186 X 4

BFgoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 275/40ZR17 - $193 X 4

I'm trying to stay under $200. Which of these would be best? Or is there another choice, other than a DR?

Thanks,
Kurt

Default Re: Question on tires.

Horse power and torque is the best way to pick tires but at lest look at the Kumho for the front.

KDW's and you can probably get 285's for under $200.00 apiece. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />
