Default Cold tires..beware

Had a pesky RX7 on my butt and downshifted to 2nd and man the car was all over the road, hit 3rd and more of the same. Love my new X1 cam but watch out for cold tires...and the RX7 was toast!

Yeah, especially with drag radials! Yesterday I pulled out onto my street (cold weather, completely cold tires) turning left and the back end swung out like I was on ice! My girl thought I did it on purpose since I drive like that sometimes anyway. <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Hell yes! Most tires aren't worth a damn in cold weather. My car just wants to go sideways anytime I floor it. There's absolutely no traction at all. So,I never race from a stop. I start at 65mph and still have to fight the car. The car has shaved Goodyear GSC's. I know they aren't the best, but it when I do get around to replacing them I will go to Goodyear GSCS. Of course the plexiglass hasn't helped things either.

But I would rather take that then send my car off the road. Floor it at 60 in cold weather and I am sideways.
