Default jounce stoppers ???

was told i would need these sence i am going from 16 to 17 in. wheels and i am lowering the car 1.5 in. what are they, what do they do and were can i get them if i really need them

That is the jounce stopper spacer . I took the spacer out of my car . Since it is lowered it kept crashing on the stops. It is meant to keep the tires from rubbing on the inner fender well due to some manufacturer differences. I personally have no rub problems.

When I lowered my car (about 1.25"), I removed the jounce spacers off the rear of my car. I've since put on 315/35-17 Nittos on 17x11 ZR1's in the back and have had zero rubbing issues whatsoever.

I also lowered my WS6 2" and removed the aluminum spacers to gain suspension travel. It's never rubbed even once and I road race.
