Going to a 17x11 rim and deciding on a 315/35/17 street tire or drag radial. 420rwhp and 4.10 gears. I need traction but don't need it often. I'm worried about wear on the tires. I heard they only last 5k and they turn into slicks. For a 200 mile a week car that street races from a roll every other weekend, how long will they last?

I dont want to buy tires at the begining and the end of summer. Thanks.
