Default Trailing arms

Well, was having my cutout welded in for me the other day (awesome mod by the way <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ) and while they were poking around near the rear of the car they noticed my right trailing arm is bent quite a bit. Since I was planning on doing some other suspension mods (springs, shocks, stb, subframes already on, panhard, lcas and brackets) would it be worthwhile to replace both arms with aftermarket ones? How would this effect handling and launching characteristics, and where can I find a brand that puts out a good product? Would I be better off just putting in a factory gm arm instead?

Thanks

don't ever waste the money replacing over priced stock pieces. I went with hotchkis, and it did make a difference worth the money. I see alot of guys in here using bmr, I haven't used them myself, but alot of people in here have and like them. anyhow my 2 cents, on hotchkis.

yeah...go ahead and replace them with an aftermarket piece. The factory units flex under stress and at time bend like yours did.

I've had 1LE, BMR poly/poly and G2 poly/rod LCAs on my car. G2s were far superior ...

Like said above, you get what you pay for.

Thanks, I figured as much but wanted to make sure. Looks like I already had new trailing arms in the budget anyway so this isn't such a bad thing, LOL.

Lower Control Arms (LCA's)/Trailing Arms....they are the same thing. THey are usually called LCA's by the manufacturers and the F-body guys.

P.S. I like my BMR LCA's and the Herb Adams LCA's that I had on another car. Good luck!
