Problem woth HAL front kit I installed a complete HAL package on a 01 TA and a BMR K-member.
The problem I see is the front setup.To get the ride hieght I wanted and the spring is compressed alot.There is only about an inch of thread left on the HAL shock.Would this be a future problem?Would a longer/stiffer Spring be better?

Re: Problem woth HAL front kit I had always been told that the HAL's springs are quite soft thus causing you to have to preload (crank the adjustment nut up) the spring to get the right ride height.
It won't be a problem unless the spring settles a lot over time (probubly won't happen). You might call around though and see if amy company makes a stiffer spring that would fit that shock.

Re: Problem woth HAL front kit What you can do if you do not like the adjustment nut up so high is to get a spacer for the spring. They sell them at circle track shops and some drag places. I would look at some circle track/ dirt track shops and see if you can get a spacer to work for you. The Hal springs are very soft and for a car that has all kinds of front weight (a/c, abs, etc..) it makes the front droop alot. I wound up having custom front springs made cause of the added weight of my twin turbo system
