do you know a high rate spring that doesnt drop the car? or at the most a one inch drop? i fiqure ill increase the rate of the spring so i dont need to add *** heavy swaybars. i planned and getting the hocktis set because they are hollow but they still got to be heavier than stock right? also when it comes with lca's, do they need to be rod/rod or will regular poly/rod work ok? thanks

here is a list of some of the common springs out on the market for the f-bodies:

http://www.socal-fbodies.org/resource/susp4a.html

Another one that should be on there is the G2s. If I remember correctly, they are something like 650lb front/ 180lb rear, but they lower a good 1.5"s.

Its going to be hard to find a really stiff springs that does not lower the car (might even have to do coilovers). Reason being, to really improve handling, you want to not only stiffen the springs, but ALSO lower the center of gravity (the car).

Most people do heavy springs instead of heavy sway bars. An over heavy sway bar will actually lift the outside tire in a turn and still does not do anything for brake dive.

Anything thing is going to be heavier than the stock Z28 bars. The idea is to find the stiffest bar for the least amount of weight (max gain/min weight). I don't know if the hocktis are hollow or not. If they are hollow, then they won't be much more than the 1LEs. If solid (like the BMRs....)...well ...... I'm using the 1LEs because they seemed to be the best wegith/performance/cost compromise out there and with my G2 coilovers (stiff), I don't need a lot of bar.

hope this helps,

Chris
