Default Will Hal's fit on the Prokit?

Are the Hal struts a direct bolt up to the Eibach springs or do i have to do alittle machining? If they don't and I buy the hal springs can i adjust them so they stand level with the prokit in the rear? I will probably be running the Hals only up front first, Thanks for all replies

Adam,

If you want to use an Eibach spring, it appears that you will need to modify the lower spring seat to allow for the end of the coil on the aftermarket spring. It appears that HAL grinds the bottom of their springs flat (they will stand up straight on the garage floor) where Eibach and factory springs will have the end of one coil to deal with (there is a pocket on the factory shock (and koni's etc) to give the end of the spring a place to sit. With some work, I think you could do it, but you may need to modify the spring mount on the shock body (or call Eibach about grinding the bottom of the spring flat....not sure what they will tell you on that one). Good luck.

PS. You should be able to adjust the HAL springs to work with the eibach rear springs.....

I have the Eibach rear springs and HALS..Just put in the stock rear spring because the ride quality sucked with the Eibach.Either it was way too soft or the rear was bouncing down the road <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

You would be better off just using your stock springs. You can adjust the height on the front with the adjustable spring perches. The rear you can do the spacer mod where you take the top spring cushion out and put a peice of heater hose around the top coil of the spring. It lowers the rear about 1". I cut about 4" off the the first coil of the rear spring to gett the car just a little lower.
If you really want to use the Eibachs you can get the modified spring seats from Thunder Racing For about $55.
