Default Need help diagnosing this "rubbing" feeling

My car is not lowered. It has 18 x 8.5 rims on the front and 18 x 10 on the back. If I'm driving straight, the wheels pointed dead ahead it's as smooth as glass. If I turn it ever so slightly out of the straight line in either direction I get a weird rubbing or frictional type feeling. The car doesn't pull if I let go of the steering wheel while having the wheels pointed straight ahead. I turned the wheel lock to lock and watched under the car and nothing appears to be rubbing or hitting anything. I'm really confused. Thanks.

Where are those located and how do I identify if it is good/bad?

Look and see if your bolt in your steering shaft is rubbing against your headers. Mine was and would feel weird. I ground down the bolt head and now it is fine. It would really happen when I would just be giving it a little gas while making a left from a stop.

Actually it does feel worse when steering toward the right. Where is the wheel bearing?

It could also be a chewed up C-clip if you still have the stock rear-end. Front wheel bearings in these cars rarely go out, but rear wheel bearings do. You will have to pull the brakes and the C-clips (inside differential) then pull the axle shafts to get to them.

No C-clips on my Moser. I still have this rub. I wonder if it is the front tires? They guy Tony got them from had the tires worn on the very outsides of the tires only. I wondering if the front end isn't aligned very well? However, an alignment shop told me I wouldn't get these symptoms even if the car was out of line : <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
