question about torque arm Can anyone tell me their experiences with road noise with an aftermarket torque arm? After I get my 275/315 tires, PHB, LCA w/ relo brackets, Koni SA, and STB on, If I still can't hook from a stand still on hard launches, I might go to an adj. cross mounted TA. My rod ended PHB and LCA and wider tires will be adding roughness to the ride. I'm hoping the shocks can help with that. This is a dd, which I plan on adding heads/cam to later on to get near 425 hp. I want to have a smooth ride and be able to hook on performance street tires on launches. Thanks in advance.
A body mounted TA will increase road noise--no getting around it. You can minimize by using rubber sheet between the body and mounting points (need longer bolts too). However, if you do all of that, the noise isn't too bad.
When you say you want to hook on performance street tires with 425 rwhp, that probably means ET streets.
