Default Front Bilstein Install Question

I removed the front springs/shocks and had a local shop swap out the shocks with a spring compressor(I do not have one). The drivers side went back on fine, but it appears that the passenger side shock needs to be turned 180 deg. to have the lower mounting holes at the proper angle to mount up to the lower control arm. Is there a way to fix this with out compressing the spring. With this being a holiday weekend all of the garages are closed, and I would like to have my car back on the road. Thanks for any help!

It will twist with the spring compressed. It's tough, but it can be done

Yeah it will. You're just not strong enough. I've dont plenty of these and they all twist. Try bolting the bottom of the shock to the lower a-arm and sliding the top of the shock into the upper a-arm (with upper a-arm unmounted) and use the top of the steering knuckle/upper shock mount to assist you in the twist.

My monster n law came over and she couldn`t move it, and she can break a ham bone in half with her teeth, and I still had to feed her($$$)lol. I borrowed a spring compressor and compressed the spring a little bit, and it was no problem. Thanks for the help, and reply`s.
