Default Suspension Question

Seeing that my question hasn't been addressed yet in the stickey above, I decided to post this on the active part of the froum.

I'm looking into lowering my car... finally.

I was woundering how KYB GR-2's perform on F-Body's. I have KYB GR-2's all around in my Z34, aloing with intrax front, and custom coils for the rear. The ride is VERY stiff, but handling is intense.

Should I buy the GR-2's with preffered coils or should I just buy a kit? Should I purchase a kit similar to it that you guys would reccomend over the KYB's?
I'm looking for subtal drop. This is my DD, I want it to be streetable. I'm not looking to carve corners in the canyon, and I'm not looking for a 1.6 60'. I prefer the look with comfort and saftey.

Should I buy this kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KYB-A...QQcmdZViewItem and be happy? Is there a way to get similar results as the kit posted above, but cheaper?

I am picking up an adjustable panhard bar, and front STB tomorrow afternoon of some-one local, and I am also curious if the Torque arm is really manditory. Wheel's that will be under the car very soon are 17x9.5 with 275 width and 17x11 with 315 width (eBay ZR1's).

Thanks in advance,
Kyle

I had that spring and shock setup from e-bay put on my car friday. I really like it. But have not been able to drive it enough for the setup to settle yet. Just about 20 miles yesterday. Then I need to figure out the settings for the shocks. I started out with them on 5 and it is kinda harsh. But has rained all day here so I have had to blow that off. I didn't change the LCA's and did not use Relocation brackets. Have showered down on it a couple times and it hooks just fine.
As for the torque arm. Without it you will twist the rearend out of the car.

If anyone has a heads up on the shock adjustment I sure wouls appreciate it.

Well if its so important, how came it seems like 90% of the people who lower their car don't use them, and havn't had issues with ripping them out?

It's harsh because the shocks can't handle the spring, especially with the drop and resulting limited travel. Read the stickys. Then Call Sam Strano, and order the Koni SA, use stock springs on the lower setting, and remove the upper isolator in the rear, substituting heater hose over the top coil. Drop about 3/4 front and rear this way. konis run 785.

If you later decide to go with lowering springs, the Konis can handle any (sane) spring rate you choose.
