Default Adj Panhard Installation!

I am putting my adj pan hard bar on tonite. There is nothing on LS1howto and the search button is not working . Is there anything I need to know? I am getting the car aligned tomorrow, so I just need to get it close enough to get it to the shop. Tips?

There might be a more technical way of doing it... But to at least get it close, measure the center of your diff to the drivers side tire well... do the same with the passenger side until it's centered.

depending on how it adjusts, I held it up to the stock one and made the adjustable one the same length. then install it and center it, its pretty straight forward.

Jack the car up (of course) as high as you can level wise. Get a stick and line it up against the tire and body. Once you have one side flush with the body do the same for the other side.

if the passenger tire is fine but the drivers side is sticking out a little.. do you just adjust it til the driverside is the same as the passenger by turning one way? I thought the panhard rod just kept the tires in the same place on either side i didnt know you were supposed to pull both tires in so that they were flush with the body?

When I did it I put the axle on two jackstands and then taped two strings from the top of the wheel wells with a nut on the end so they would hang straight down. Then I measured the distance from the center of the wheel to the string to make sure it was the same on both sides.

That's basically what I did. You need to measure with the vehicle weight on the suspension because the rear end will shift to one side, due to the way the PHB is attached, when weight is taken off the suspension.
