Default Replacing front shocks, question

I haven't replaced these before, but from that I understand you can disconnect the 4 nuts/bolts on the shock tower, and then drop the spring/shock assembly out as a unit, where you can swap shocks (with a spring compressor of course) and replace as a unit.

Question, is this the right way to do it, and second, how the heck do you get to the torx bolt under the brake master cylinder?

Thanks

Ryan

Its fairly simple to get em out. lil harder to get em in. You have to unbolt the brake cylinder and wiggle it out of your way. The process is in a sticky

I loosened the nuts on the master cylinder where you can move it slightly out of the way of being directly over the bolts (as has already been mentioned). Went to one of the local parts houses (AZ) where they have a set of torx drivers that resemble allen wrenches (about $10 bucks) in the L - shape design. When you finally get the torx bolt out you can swap it with its counterpart from the passengers side (its a hex nut). With the torx bolt on the passengers side its much easier to get to. That or replace it with a regular bolt and do away with the torx head bolt altogether.

I removed the sway bar end link bolts to let the whole assemble drop down easier.
