Default a arm question

i went to change springs and come to find out my lower a-arm bushing in the rear, the rubber boot is gone on both sides. Now do i need to worry and change the whole lower arms. If so there about $450 for a pair. Dont really got the money to spend but where or who got um for cheap that yopu know of. UMI got the upper and lower as a set for $629.99. What you think about the whole rubber boot not being there,.

Hello,

I would recommend at least changing the bushings out, it can be a lot of work but should be done. If you want to go with a aftermarket set you could save some money and keep the stock uppers and just go with new lowers. The lower A-Arms are where you are going to get your weight savings from, we can get you a set for $369.99, they are in the link below. If you have any questions please ask and I will be glad to help.

Thank you
Ryan

What level of difficuly are they to install? I think my ball joints are gone and the dealership charges around $400 (I think) for the new ball jonts, pressing them in, and their time. what's the best route to go ... and the cheapest?

Not trying to jack the thread ... just thinking a reply would benefit everyone here. I hope that's OK.

Thanks brother ... what did you end up finally doing? I was thinking about just buying the whole K-member and upper/lower A-arm assembly and be done with it ... hate like hell going further in debt, but, it doesn't look too diffucult to replace the entire package.

Maybe UMI Performance cam weigh in on the best approach, as well.
