Default sjm line lock

I can't get the lines tight on the line lock kit anywhere at all. It just seems like it keeps leaking, and i know they aren't cross threaded, is there any thing i can put on the fittings to keep them for not leaking. i bleed the brakes as well and the pedal still feels soft. If there were air pockets would they make noise of leak out alittle, and that is making me believe that the lines aren't all the tight? SOme help would be great

Which fittings are leaking, every point? Sealant is included on all fittings that need sealant. The rest of them are compression fit sealant should not be used.

I tighten them up and now the only one i can't get tight is the one on the bottom half of the solenoid. The line lock kit works great i already tested it out. I am gonna tighten that part up today rebleed the breaks again cause the pedal feels soft, and see what happens, but overall i am happy wit the kit.

Good to hear it is coming along. Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure which kit you have, but if its the front mount kit, the bottom fitting can be harder to get to since it is located behind the power block. Also, verify if it is leaking, that is is at the fitting and not the solenoid.

As instructed in the direction sheets, the biondo style solenoid has a rubber o-ring on the inlet portion that needs a backing wrench held in place while tightening the flared fitting. If you overtighten it, the o-ring can press out of it's seat or get damaged resulting in fluid leaking.

Let me know if you need further assistance. A phone conversation may work best.

Its working fine. I wired, and mounted the button, and yes i do have the front mount and yea its kinda hard, but i got some brake cleaner, and line wrench and retightend everything and it seems to working fine. The brake pedal feels different but the car stops fine, is that normal? I rebleed the brakes again as well so there should be no air pockets. Overall i am very happy with kit.

You should actually just change your fluid if it hasn't been changed within 2 years. The longer you let it go, the lower the wet boiling point your fluid will handle. Water in the lines also reduces its efficiency, damages calipers etc.

Don't use dot 5, dot 4 is a very good fluid. Be careful, the stuff eats paint!
