Blown Shocks?

how can you tell when your shocks are done exactly? my dad knows nothing about cars really so i cant ask him so i turn to you guys... how do i know if its time for new shocks? ive never tried to turn my car at any speed so i have nothing to compare if i went out and did that again. im starting to get massive squat when i mash it, and a little bit extra of a bounce after a bump or such... thanks

That there is one of several key indicators that your shocks are worn. While there are other simple indicators, multiple rebounds are a clear sign that you need to get some new shocks (depending on what you're looking for, you should not opt for any OE deCarbon replacement at all, especially second hand ones). Also if what you have is indeed DeCarbons, and if they're still the ones from the factory, then you already might have too many miles on them.
