Default Need help with brakes.

About two weeks ago I ordered some hawk brake pads to put on my front brakes. Well the day I order them, my current pads became worn down to nothing and started to go metal to metal and messed up my rotors. So I went ahead and put some shitty brake pads in until I would recieve the new pads and rotors. Since the stock rotors were really ground down and coarse, my dad and I polished the stock rotor for the time being. Worked great, a little warpped but worked for the time being. So today we install some new brembo cross drilled rotors along with the new hawk pads, and I know its gonna make noises for the first few drives or so, but when I make a left turn, or slightly turn my steering wheel to the left, the left rotor and pads sound like their scrapping pretty bad. And the rotors seem to scrapped already as well. We installed everything right. What could this possible be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So lets get thie straight. You installed new rotors and pads. Now the left (driver) side rotor/pad is grinding? Is it a smooth sound? Is it a squeal? Is there any wear on the rotor? Is there a stone between the rotor and pad? You need to take the thing apart again and inspect it. Grease up those guide pins too, both sides.

The sound that it makes is a very annoying grinding noise. Not the normal brake squek. One of the guide pins were actually rusted and siezed, but we polished it and greased the **** out of it. We discovered this during the install.

Look for scaring on the rotor. Is the car pulling to one side? You could have a caliper issue.

My alignment may be a little off. THere is scaring on the rotor. However, the scaring is almost identical to the scaring on the right. I can send you pics through e-mail later on in the day. And if I do have a caliper issue, what could it be. Pistons?

Yup. If you have a caliper that is seized then it may always grind. If you have scaring on both rotors that are the same I would tend to think otherwise. Pics would help. Also does the left wheel get hot?

I had a clogged line on my '92 that caused the caliper to lock and heat the hell out of everything including the wheel.
