The ball is quite hard, the rubber caps are poly like, but rather soft and pliable.

My only thought is that it(the balll) will wear and distort and have to be replaced. I'm sure the bushings on the rod ends will wear as well but certainly not as quick as the hard poly.
I had to replace my endlinks for this same reason. The nylon being hard wears and distorts.

Yes, but you're going to pack the whole thing in poly bushing lube anyway.

Also, as a side note (that might make me unpopular), that sig pic makes it tricky for me to check this thread from the office. Though she is a lovely young lady, it might not make my boss or IT guys happy. Any chance you might change that one out?

I think you can set your user info to not show sigs if that helps.

I had sigs turned off, I swapped them back on and can only say "not much really, no".

so whats the news on these with some first hand experiance? My rod end just failed again so I'm looking to get a new set. I like the idea behind these, but want to know how they work in the real world.

I love mine so far, I hook noticabely better and I can't feel any binding..definately a good part in my opinion

squints88 - Which version do you have? The ones with the 3-piece poly-ball bushing at both ends, or the ones with a rod-end/poly-ball combination?

Trackbird - Do you have any feedback from your set?

Anyone else have any experience with these poly-ball bushings?
