Default master cylinder problems

im installing hotchkis springs, i got them in the rears easily but the fronts im baffled on. I read ls1howto, read a chilton book, did a search but cant figure it out. i cant get to that T50 torx bit under the master cylinder at all. i took off the two mounting nuts for the master cylinder so i could "wiggle it" so everyone says, but it wont wiggle enough. i dont want to take off the hardlines and have a chance of air bubble in the break lines. what can i do to get to this torx bastard without unbolting the hardlines? i seem to have done everything right, it does wiggle a little but not much. HELP!!!! wrech, ratchet, what?

should be able to move that master cylinder out of the way a little bit without disconnecting the lines, have you really tried to get it out of the way?

I wouldn't say they are flexible, but they do have some give to them. Remove the nuts that affix the master to the brake booster, and pull the master cyl towards you. Once it has slid off of the bolts, you can move it out of the way.

Once out of the way and you get that Torx bolt out, reinstall them on the passenger side and use the hex bolts from the passenger side under the MC.

If you ever have to remove the upper mount again, you can get an open ended wrench under the MC.
