Default Difference between left and right strut?

Is the front strut assembly the same for both the passenger and driver side? I bought two new strut assemblies and they seem identical to me - did I get two passenger sides or are they the same?

Thanks

The shock and spring interchange, but the top mount has a left and right side. If you bought them assembled, you could have bought a pair from one side of the car or the other (salvage yard maybe?).

Got it figured out I think, the emblem was throwing us off, we were thinking the shock emblem always faced out and apparently thats not the case.

Got my nasty knock fixed finally. Wasn't a mount like I thought though, it was a broken piston shaft.....water must have gotten up there and rusted it out.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, helped me out while I was in a crisis!
