Default c5 conversion question

I searched but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. For those with the C5 conversion, is it a requirement to use the c5 calipers or will stock f-body calipers bolt to the relocation bracket using c5 rotors? As I understand it, the f-body calipers have bigger pistons but somehow the z06 calipers improve braking? I can only guess that would be the cause because the smaller pistons respond faster (less fluid volume required?).

Anyway, would it be possible to use the brackets with fbody calipers and c5 rotors and is there a (dis)advantage to doing so?
