F I guys inside.
Guys I am having problems with front end of my car being to low due to adding Turbo headers , down pipe , intercooler and everything else due to FI. I am wondering what springs you are adding to your setup? To make the front end not sag. The front of my car has probally lowered at least 2 inchs if not more. any advise is much needed. The best I can tell I need a 500 pound spring rate due to weight. the car weighs 3740 pounds without driver 56% front.

the thing is I talked to Afco today and they told me for the weight of my car I needed a 500 pound spring to control the weight. QA1 doesn't offer anything close. 325 is the limit for them.

Yeah but your going to take weight out of the car... start doing that... then see what springs they say.... tell them a lighter car buy about 200 lbs

I was running 275s and my car is about stock weight in the front and they were way too light. I am going to try some 300lb QA1 generation F springs. With adjustable shocks I could get the ride height high enough with the 275s but on the brakes hard and the tires are rubbing holes in the inner fenders and any bump while braking scrapes underneath pretty bad. I have strange single adjustables and I may have to go to double adjustable to get stiffer compression on the shocks, these have plenty for a light n/a car.
I would start with a the 325s on an adjustable shock like QA1 or strange, I highly doubt you need 500# springs. But IMO 275s are way too light for a FI car, even a dedicated drag car like mine..

I have the strange SA on mine and I will be switching to their DAs soon, hyperco makes their springs and they go to 400lb on their 2.5x14 springs. The QA1 generation F springs sit on the stock top seat and they only fit late f-bodies, thats why there are only 3 rates. You can use regular coil over springs (2.5x14) with the strange front shocks but I am using the QA1 springs - confused yet lol.

You don't need 400 or 500lb springs. My car is full weight plus a 6 point plus a twin turbo kit. With me in it it scales 3840lbs. I use the 325lb springs up front on QA1's and have plenty of adjustment range to take the nose up or down. I ran the 300 before and the car would bottom too easily on the street.
325 ftw!
