quick question on brake caliper

quick question on brake caliper a guy at the track told me c5 calipers fit right into the camaro brackets, is this true? anybody have this done? i think the red corvette caliper would look nice tucked behind my zr1's....thanks guys

It will, but the pistons are smaller in the vette caliper. To offset this you should also look into getting the brackets to allow you to run the C5 rotors.
Strength. Heavy braking will see a stock F-Car caliper "spread" or bow across the back. A C5 caliper is ribbed and pressure cast. So it's stronger. The smaller pistons will give you a firmer feel on the pedal.
The down side is a stock F-Car rotor is significantly thinner than a C5 rotor. So the caliper is wider between the piston face and the outer ears to accommodate the thicker rotor. Put a thinner rotor in there and the pistons move further out of the caliper in order to engage. Only a problem if you run cut rotors and ewaer pads to the backing plates.
