LCA's ride feel difference?

LCA's ride feel difference?

i want to invest in some tubular lca's but was wondering if they roughen up the ride as opposed to the stock lca's already on the car?

Yes they will with poly bushings. I feel every crack in the pavement.

I bought some used off a friend and couldn't feel a difference after i installed them.

would a different type of bushing other than poly smooth up the ride?

The stock or 1LE rubber bushings would help with the ride.

After having poly/poly tubular bmr lca's on the car for 4 years and 40k miles, I switched back to stock lower control arms. I would grease the bmr's every time I did an oil change and I just got tired of the constant clunking with every bump.

I am so happy going back to the stock lca's. I am trying to find new 1le bushings.

I just finished building a set of Jon A. aluminum LCAs and PHB. I used solid rod ends on both ends. I expected the car to sound like I was driving around on rims but it wasn't bad at all. It didn't feel any worse but the bumps were a little louder but not terrible. I used a good set of rod ends and rod ends do need to be replaced over time. The LCAs I've seen from most vendors use cheap rod ends.

What I did notice is that every rattle in the car was amplified. Thankfully I spent last weekend chasing rattles and cleaning 13 bucks in loose change and 3 keys out from under the carpet.

I guess it's a combination of personal preference and quality of the parts used. I'll say this though, the car hooks better and sticks a corner better than it ever did with stock parts in place.
