Question dropping my car?

Ok so i read some thing about removins some insulaters and replacing it with heater hose??? What is this suppose to do and will it hurt any thing if i decide do to do it?

Get under your car, and look at the top of the rear springs. You'll see some rather thick rubber donuts that pad the body from the spring. That's what you are removing, and you'll see about how much they'd lower your car by removing them (about 1/2" to 3/4"). You don't want the springs sitting directly against the body, so people slip heater hose over the top coil to keep the spring from rubbing a hole through the body.

oh ok thanks man, i get to do a tranny on my 94 Z tonight so i might just try it... man the rims on your car look like some that came off my buddy's a car a while back and then sold... but they look nice... thanks again..
