Is there any option besides welding? I am trying to stay away from having to do that. Also, wouldn't I have to pull the part of the carpet when I have someone weld a loop in?

The Trak Pak crossmember crosses where the floor mounts are for the driveshaft loop. The only way to be able to attach one is for you to weld it to the crossmember. You will not need to remove the carpet to add on the loop.
