Our setup is never sold without the bolts. It is included in the price of 199.99 listed at www.sjmmanufacturing.com/deals.html

The sale price is a killer price for what you're receiving. It's a good 50.00 less than others that are built similar. We use 4130 1.25x.095" chrome-moly tubing, 4130 rod ends, with XM series rod ends. We offer both configurations as either offset or standard.

There really isn't anything that is outstanding magical with any LCA or PHR, they are such simplistic design with all manufactures being very similar. Main differences would be the welding procedure or the fact that they don't include upgraded 1/2" bolt kits with their setup. Pretty much all of them at this point use only high-ended XM series rod ends.

FWIW, our welding processes are sequenced and tig-pulsed on a machine for consistent and proper penetration of the welded pieces. Normally, replacement rod-ends are ~30.00/piece. We offer replacement rod-ends for ~20.00 for our customers.

Lastcall, you really didn't start anything new...lol. Just pick up some larger bolts, nuts and washers for your setup and you'll be good to go. You'll spend 10-15.00 on the upgraded parts, I feel it is a better match for the 1/2" internal diameter component you have.

Most manufactures may not offer these parts as they could not say it was a 10 minute swap and able to re-use the stock bolts. I could state this as well but based on my background (not that you need to be a rocket-scientist), but it is not best suited. Rod-end components transfer noise as it is…no reason to add noise to the setup from the get-go. No flame to other manufactures, these are just observations. I believe BMR does not use inserts for this exact reason…they mill specific pieces for their setup. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. They would have to jump in to verify this though.

Great! So the UMI panhard rod that I got off ebaly last night is going to be rattling around?

Why doesn't it come with the correct bolts? What size and grade do I need?

I have SJM LCA's as well. Great quality and pretty light weight. Like explained you have to drill the holes out to 1/2" for the bolts, but I've noticed no noises associated with looseness. The rod end LCA's obviously transmit alot more noise, but the difference was well worth it(I dont daily drive my car though). My rear suspension feels alot more connected and stable in cornering.

I reused the factory bolts with my rod end PHB and noticed no increase in noise over the factory peice.

yea i agree. There is no play now that I am using the SJM rod ended LCA's and PHR. Just added noise from the road and what not. But like I said before....definately a huge handling difference over stock. I have driven with both poly/poly, and rod/rod. So I do know the difference between those two as well.
