Default brake ?s

Here are my symptoms. When I brake at high speed the fronnt end shakes
and on inspection both front rotors are scored on the inside and not the outside. I am going to do pads and rotors. My question is shall I install
new calipers? Thanks for any reply.

Replacing the pads and rotors should fix the problem. You shouldn't need new calipers. When you put on the new rotors and pads, also inspect and re-grease the sliding pins.

Might be warped rotors.

to simply answer your question, i would say it would be a good idea to replace the calipers especially if you considerhow cheap oem reman's are to the cost of rotors and pads and the fact you are already that deep into the repair.

but whether you need or should replace the calipers depends on a few things-
how old and how many miles you have on the car,
what kind of driving you did or plan to do,
were the brakes ever bled,

at least inspect and regrease the slide pins, and inspect the rubber boots around the pistons. I just did my brakes and i have 37k miles on mine but i know i didn't have any problems. in your case, unless you know for sure the cause of your problem don't assume the calipers are 100% functional and risk another set of rotors and pads. Pop the pistons and inspect them and the caliper, otherwise just spend the $80 on new front calipers.

I agree with inspecting the calipers and make sure they look decent but its unlikely you will need them.

Buy new rotors and good pads and it will fix your issue.

95% of the time its just the rotors. So new pads and rotors and you should b ok.
