don't cut--buy lowering springs...then if u want to go back..you got them...also--ride is NEVER GOOD after cutting.due to the rate of springs...eg: Progressive vs Linear.

BUT...
if you dont have the money right now for shocks and springs and just want to lower it till you have the money...cutting the springs 1-1.5 coils will drop you 1-1.8". start with 1 coil in the back and see if you like it.

cut mine for money reasons when i first got the car, couldnt take the truck stance!LOL! but that was 3 years ago and there still on the car. shocks are alot more to blame for the ride quality than springs. new shocks and stock cut springs will get you by for now and save you some money so you can buy shocks wich you will need anyway when you buy springs. i got a writeup from a guy on here and it only took about acouple hours and a case of beer! people freak out when i say they are cut stockers but money is money so i say go for it!

after having the eibach rears in my car (front coilover) i went to 95 v6 rear springs without isolater and cut 1/2 coil (going to cut another 1/2 for lower stance) and overall i would have to say i like the cut ones better.
So i wouldn't be scared to run cut rears for sure, fronts i would only do till you have money to get some coilovers
just my .02
