Lowering Question?

Lowering Question? How many inches would I need to lower my 2002 Camaro to have it sit like a Vette? I know how the vette's stance is sort of an optical illusion with the large rims, fender wells, and body but I want to have mine sit as close to the ground as possible. Any advice on springs I should get or anything?

Re: Lowering Question? Eibach Pro's are insanely common here. Good drop, 1.5". Check out my site for pics to see if that's what you are looking for. After that, some people got to G2 springs, which lowers a hair more. Eibach also makes a SportLine that drops a solid 2".
Be forewarned, when you start changing springs you'll need shocks to match, as well as start worrying about tires hitting the wheel wells or fenders ( depending on rim ). Finally, you'll need an adjustable panhard rod to recenter the rear, as well as LCA relocation brackets to make the LCA's parallel to the ground. All the above has to do with keeping the rear-end geometry set correctly.

That's a tough question....But, if you look at my website (listed in my sig) there are some pictures of my car that has been lowered with H&R Sport springs (they were called the H&R Stage 2 springs when I bought them...but the part number is the same, just the name has changed). It is lowered about 1.4 inches. I would not go any lower for a street driven car. I find that I have to run a fair amount of compression damping in my Koni DA's to try to keep from bouncing off the bumpstops over every road imperfection. Just my thoughts....Good luck!
