Default mean vibration

if I hit my brakes hard going faster than 80 I get a small harsh vibration, I can feel it in the steering wheel, its just a little worse over 100 but it does have something to do with the speed, what do you think it could be?

btw, wheels are balanced, brake rotors dont "look" worn, car has around 50k miles...... hard miles

Id give you 50 bucks if it wasnt the rotors.

The stock GM rotors S. U. C. K. suck! Do a search for "warped rotors" and see what I mean. I have the same vibration (as do many, and am saving up for some nice drilled ones.

Lots of board sponsors carry them in all types.

Good luck!

That sounds like a case of warped factory rotors. Almost everyone has to fix this at least once. I'll suggest OEM (non drilled, non slotted) Brembo rotors from www.tirerack.com. They are $61 each and I've abused mine with race pads and autocross use (and several high speed stops back to back) and there is no sign of warpage. They are excellent (if you are not concerned about slotted and other such style points). Anyway....just my thoughts....Good luck!

I'd start with the fronts and see what happens. That will usually fix it. GOod luck!
