Default performance street pads?

I have the factory pads on my 01 Z28 and they seem to work pretty well. But like everyone else, I am always up for better performance.

What is a really good performace street pad for F-bodies? I have upgraded to Z06 rims/tires for added traction. To take advantage of that, I would like a pad that has a little more "bite" to it (make the car come down faster).

thanks,

Chris

Check out Hawk pads, i have them on my car along w/ PowerStop rotors. Very happy with the combo so far. Speed Inc. sells the pads for $136 front and rear. Hope this helps.

Can you talk a little about noise and dust with the Hawk pads. Which ones did you get?

Dom, i have the HPS series. I have only had them on my car for about 3 1/2 weeks. As far as noise the first two weeks i had them i had a ch ch ch noise coming from my right front either pad or rotor, not sure which one. The noise was there while driving or braking, it has since STOPPED. No squealing as of yet. Now about the dust, im a fanatic about cleaning my car so dust dosen't really get a chance to build up.

HPS; no noise, slightly more dusting.

Ditto - had them for 2 years now, with Fikse rims. Get darn dusty at autox, but like Kev98Ta, I'm a clean fanatic.

Now I'm really on the fence. I was originally going to go with Ceramics because I heard HPS make alot of noise. Which would you guys recommend. HPS or Ceramics?
