Default Long torque arm VS Short

I am going to get a new rear end. Now would be the time to chage torque arms. I have a tunnel mounted short one. All in all not to bad. Which is better the long ones or the short ones?

What are you looking for better handling or better at the drag strip?

For both. I would love to know the trade-offs. Handling is most important.

If handling is of concern I would stay with a full length style torque arm like this http://www.bmrfabrication.com/torque%20arm/TA001.jpg . The longer style torque arm will not adversly affect the handling of the car like shorter style arm.
I would also recommend the use of a torque arm relocation crossmember http://www.bmrfabrication.com/misc/TCC006.jpg Our crossmember has several adjustment holes to help with tailoring the torque arm "bite" to your particular application. If you have any other questions regarding our product line please feel free to ask
