Default LT1 vs LS1 Pro Kit?

What is the difference between the Eibach Pro Kit for the LT1 and LS1? Eibach has different part numbers identified, but I've been told the springs are the same (spring rate and ride height). I have a buddy that is getting ready to sell his 96 TA that has Pro Kit springs installed that have less than 2500 miles on them, and he is willing to let me have them for my 01 TA if I put his stock springs back on. I'm concerned about the ride height being different in the front due to the weight difference between the LT1 and LS1.

I think that they are the same.... Id put money on it. id do it for stock springs, plus you can buy those later for $30 if you want them off the car.

If the front spring rate is roughly 400 in lbs (I think it may be heavier) than an increase of 800 lbs will make a 1 inch difference in ride height (assuming spring rate to be "wheel rate", which it is not, but for the sake of discussion, we'll use it for now). So, a 400 lb difference is 1/2 inch, a 200 lb is 1/4th inch and 100 lb is 1/8th inch.

Now, if we took a worst case and made the wheel rate (the spring rate as measured at the wheel, which is affected by suspension geometry and control arm leverage, etc) 1/2 the spring rate (and we assume spring rate to be 400 lbs, and 50% makes it 200 inch lbs). A 100 lb difference in the front of the vehicle would be a 1/4 inch difference in ride height. So, I doubt you will really notice a difference based on spring rate alone....

Just my thoughts (and a non precise, basic physics lesson).....

The LT1 kit has linear front springs, Ls1's are progressive rate. I have a LS1 with the LT1 springs and love it.
