Default Electrical and Fire considerations welding SFC

First, thanks for any input.

I'll prob be getting some SFC's welded in over the summer and was curious if I need to be concerned about the weldings effect on some of my more sensitive / expensive electrical components.

I'm mostly concerned about the after market stereo I have installed and my Wideband LC1 controller that is all grounded to the chassis.

Also wondering if I need to rip up the carpet and any wires running along the floorboard close to the location of the weld.
I have run a bunch of speaker and RCA wire for the stereo along that route and was hoping to avoid melting the wire or starting the carpet on fire.

Do I need to be concerned about these things or will the welding process not affect these things in that way.

Any info appreciated,
Thanks

Most SFC brands do not require any interior removal (ours do not) so removing the carpet is not necessary.. just keep your heat under control while welding to prevent any burn through.

For the electrical end of it, unhook the battery terminals.

Hope that helps!

Thanks very much Ryan.

I've got some questions about some LCA's I bought from UMI a while back I might have to PM you about sometime.
