Emergency Brake problems!!!

ok u all know whenever u pull the emergency brake up u pull it hard and fast right !! well i did that the other day and whenever i pulled really hard i heard something pop and my emergency brake handle went straight up and its VERY loose and wont even tighten no more and wont hold my brakes. Well i crawled under there and the cable isnt broke but the little springs in the back drum or whatever popped off and is side ways so thats why its loose , but how do i put it back on?

pull the spring back and replace it where it goes, its pretty simple.

If your spring is bent it won't ever work right until you replace it. Mine does the same thing now. I have to be careful with it, pull it up slow and towards the passenger seat.
