Gravity bleed question

Gravity bleed question When I bleed the system do I wait till clear liquid comes through all 4 valves before closing any of the valves? Or do I close the valve as soon as it starts to run clear? So if the passenger rear starts to run clear do I tighten it up but keep the others open until each one runs clear then tighten them as they clear up? Not sure if I am explaining this right but could the rears be closed for awhile till the fronts are done or do they all stay open until they are all done then tighten them in that order?
Sorry for the dumbass question but never bled the brakes before. Did a search but never found a clear answer to this.
