Alignment???
yes, you will definitely need one. the cheif mechanic at hotchkis drives an SS and says that -.05 degress camber, 5.0 degrees caster, and 0 degrees toe yeilds the best handling results for our cars....

I did a home alignment with a bubble camber-caster gauge on a flat level surface. Toe can be set with some 2x4's, 2 straight edges, and a tape measure.
After you get good at it, you can fine tune the feel, tire wear and handling of the car.
I learned to do it myself because, alignment shops here like to not do lowered cars or charge you double. Most will only set to factory specs. and just set toe.
Most people like a bit more camber than -0.05. -.5 to -1 for street use is a safe bet. -0.5 if you don't like to push it hard in the turns.
