About 2-2.25 total rotations, which is about 8-9 sweeps.

That'd be a broken adjuster and a call to Koni for warranty.

You are actually moving the adjuster in the slot and not just turning the **** right?

For the rear shocks, i was about to install them and wanted to adjust them to full firm. But as I turn it, it doesnt stop turning. That is with both rear shocks. Kinda weird to have both break.
I also checked the fronts and both fronts would stop turning, but both rears still continue to turn.
As for warranty, I bought them as a kit from UMI with the strano springs and I am in Canada. Is warranty still covered?

It should be. UMI is pretty good about warranty and from what I hear Koni doesn't play games with warranty either. Give them a call.

Now I bet they aren't broken, rears next to never break like that. They aren't tight in the car and you are probably spinning the entire shock shaft instead of just the adjuster.

So couldn't he just hold the flat portion at the top of the shock with an open end to hold it in place while he adjusts it?

Honestly, I can't really get into this. These are the types of details that are best dealt with between a customer and a vendor.

The shocks should not move if installed correctly, he shoudln't have to "hold" anything.

I understand that, but he's trying to do this off the car. For some reason he wants to adjust them before he installs them. The only time to do that IMO is with the 3rd gen rears... but that's because you have to. I completely agree this would go much faster and probably better with a phone call.

Though he's not my customer, I did speak with him breifly last night. He was trying to adjust the rears off the car and the entire shock shaft was turning.

It's details like this that matter when buying parts. You all need to ask yourself who has the experience with various parts. Sometimes things aren't as simple as turning a rod-end. I know that, and when I sell a set of Koni's (or anything else) I do my level best to make sure the customer calls me back when they get the parts so all these sorts of questions can be answered clearly, and concisely.

Thank you Sam for all your help. It is just more clear to me on the phone than reading it on the forums
