what are the benefits of keeping the bar or removing it

if you have it why get rid of it?...saw the difference in having it and not having it when i went over a bridge and the sides of the car moved awkwardly, compared to when i had the bar on and the car up front was more firm

Benefits: looks cool, good for resting your hand on when working on your engine.

Downsides: adds 5-ish lbs to front end.
IMO its really not hurting anything, and the weight is something that wont be noticed, just keep it on unless you don't like how it looks.

mine weighs more then five pounds........i got the three point though..shoulda went for aluminum

mine was less than 5 lbs, chromoloy

if not for stiffening the front ever so slightly, it does provide an excellent place to brace yourself from when leaning over from the front trying to get to the damn spark plugs.
